Welcome Anita Cox to Author Fever
Tell our readers a little bit about yourself.
I’m a writer, vodka lover and perpetual smartass. I’ve been writing fiction since 2006, but started in erotica under the name Anita Cox at the end of 2012. I’m an avid angler, compulsive baker and I devour books like no other.

What do you do when you aren’t writing?
You mean there’s something else? Well, there is that pesky laundry to do…and food to make.

If you had to choose an all-time favorite book, what would it be?
I love THE WINNER by David Baldacci. It’s my favorite book of all time. Baldacci is a great writer and I just fell in love with LuAnn in the book… too much like me.

What inspired you to start writing?
Honestly, I couldn’t help myself. It was a compulsion. Once I started, I just could not stop. As soon as I think I’m out of ideas, I stand at my picture window with a dry erase marker and a story board just sprays all over the window. It’s sort of cool that way.

What is your favorite genre to write?
Erotica, because it’s fun.

Do you have a set writing schedule, or do you do it when the fancy strikes.
I try, but have a large family, so any time I can grab a sane and quiet moment, I’m writing.

Do you outline or write as you go (describe your writing process)?
I do a rough story board (which looks like a complete train wreck with lines, circles and words.) By the time I’m done, I know where I want to be, in what part of the novel etc. I’ve tried to outline… I’m way too Type B to work with it.

Do you have a certain vice that helps you write?

Are the people in your life supportive of your writing?
My parents are super supportive. My husband tries to be, but he’s also very needy and will constantly try to talk to me while I’m working… which is dangerous to his health.

If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?
Mind Reading… because it would be so cool to know what people were thinking, for real… and probably very scary. Never mind, give me time travel ;)

Is the glass half-empty or half-full?
Neither, because I’ve filled it the rest of the way with vodka!

If you could have a dinner party with five people [living or dead], who would you choose and why?
Tommy Lee Jones, because he’s a phenomenal actor; Christopher Walken, because he’s the funniest guy in the world; Channing Tatum for window dressing; Joan Jett for coolness factor and because she was my first girl-crush and finally Penn Jillette so he can pick a fight at the table.
